Just Blaze Explains What Happened To The Remix 8:09:00 PM
Wow, now I understand if looked at from a broader view, how the music buisness is artistically lacking cause buisness is slow but I still hate to hear that it affects the culture of rap and hip-hop in such a negative way including destroying the culture from the inside esp. because people want more plays on the radio to bump up VDS scores. All numbers now. I mean really the best remix I've heard in the 2000's is Fabo's (Fabolous) and Drake's "Throw It In Bag (Remix)" which I personally found it was 10 times better than the regular song with The-Dream. I really think someone should just seriously sit down with Just Blaze for a couple of hours and just interview him cause he always has something interestng to say.

On Other News... 8:34:00 PM

"Though no working title has been confirmed for the album, it is said that the set will be released on November 23rd. Details are still sketchy regarding Rihanna’s new album, but a new confirmation has just been brought forth by Play.com that the set is slated to be made available in stores on November 23rd later this year. Notwithstanding the release date, working title for the record remains in question. Rihanna, who has had a rough year after she was assaulted by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown during an argument in February, has been working on her new studio album for quite sometime. She keeps things related to the record under tight wraps, but it is widely believed that she has enlisted the help from some top notch musicians for the set.The All-American Rejects’ vocalist Tyson Ritter, record producers Stargate, James Fauntleroy, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, The-Dream, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Kanye West, OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Soulja Boy, Shontelle and Pharrell Williams are all rumored to make contribution to the album. Most recently, Ne-Yo shared with E! News during 2009 MTV Video Music Awards on September 13th that he and Rihanna had been in a songwriting session. “Expect an edgier, almost angrier Rihanna on this one. Rihanna says some things on this album that you’ve never heard her say before,” he revealed. Fellow music star Akon also uttered some words about Rihanna’s upcoming album, saying “I’m going to lighten her up. I don’t want an angry Rihanna.”"-- Aceshowbiz.com
Speaking of Rihanna and Chris Brown... Ghostface Killah was on Hot97 (NEW YORK STAND UP!) talking about it, check it out below. Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in stores now.

This Video's A Little "So Far Gone" 8:18:00 PM
I really don't know about this video. Like, I like that they had LeBron in it and everything but most of video felt confusing like Drake's verse in the video had multiple layers of him saying his verse on screen while flames where going straight up in the air. Or like Kanye's verse which had blaring sparks and flames flying everywhere in the background. I am not saying the video was horrible but I am saying it was so distracting you couldn't focus on the track. Anyway, what's your opinions?

The Price Of Fame Vol. 2 3:49:00 AM

Max B a rapper out of Harlem, NYC was sentenced too 75 years in prison for his botched robbery which ended up being a huge list of crimes including kidnapping and murder. His stepbrother got a life term and 35 years for being part of the robbery...
A rising Harlem rapper was sentenced Thursday to 75 years in prison for masterminding a deadly robbery at a Fort Lee hotel four years ago. His stepbrother received a life term plus 35 years for his part in the scheme.
Charly Wingate, better known in hip-hop circles as “Max B,” was convicted of felony murder, kidnapping, armed robbery and several other offenses in a June trial in which witnesses testified that he planned the September 2006 robbery at the Holiday Inn on Route 4.
His co-defendant and stepbrother, Kelvin Leerdam, was convicted of the same counts after jurors found that he shot one of the robbery victims, David Taylor.
Both Wingate and Leerdam looked resigned when Superior Court Judge Harry G. Carroll sentenced them in Hackensack. Wingate said he was not happy with his attorney, Gerald Saluti, and fired him during the hearing just before he received his sentence.
Personnaly, I agree with 2dopeboyz opinion on the Sentence...
And this is where I’m gonna catch a lot of flack (and praise by some) because I like to speak my mind from time to time. He’s found guilty and sentenced to a lifetime behind bars. And now the profits of these “Free Max B” shits are going to his commissary? I don’t understand how hip hop loves the “bad guy” so much. All these “Free _____” shirts are cool if said artist/player catches a bad rap and is wrongfully charged, etc. But these days… if the rapper has a big enough fan base he could straight up say “I killed two kids after I raped their mother in front of them” and there would STILL be those fucking “Free Rapist/Killer Rapper” shirts everywhere! What… the… fuck?
I think that this is completly true with the Hip/Hop game as well as the rest of the world. Leave a comment on your opinion.

Ryan Leslie & Rick Ross produce Maybachs & Diamonds 12:43:00 PM
I mean the song is going to ride smooth, I know that for sure... but Rick Ross on a track like this is going to be ok... I mean usually he's good with tracks like these, hence Maybach Music 1 & 2 both had really smooth beats, but in this case the subject matter is girls. And on his Deeper Than Rap album I heard him talking about.. well you know where I am going. Anyway, if he raps well, the song is going to do well bottom line.

Lil Wayne hits the Courtroom 4:32:00 PM
![]() |
James Tilson is Wayne's attorney, and he is hoping to help his client out by questioning the training of the drug sniffing dog that helped search the car.I don't know... he might win the case all cause he is a rapper... it's happened in the past.
Border officials have not turned in training records for the dog and Tilson says it's vital to the case.
"If the dog is not reliable, then that puts the entire probable cause for the stop into question," he said, in an Associated Press report.
Tilson is also hoping to see something in video cameras that may have taped the arrest. The judge has issued another court date, August 11, for this matter. Wayne has pleaded not guilty to all charges. This follows another drug bust charge. In March, a judge dismissed similar charges that came from 2006.
