Big Boi and the Roots, two of my favorite artists, preforming 'Shutterbugg' from Big Boi's 'Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty' on Jimmy Fallon's Late Night.

Just Blaze Explains What Happened To The Remix 8:09:00 PM

Wow, now I understand if looked at from a broader view, how the music buisness is artistically lacking cause buisness is slow but I still hate to hear that it affects the culture of rap and hip-hop in such a negative way including destroying the culture from the inside esp. because people want more plays on the radio to bump up VDS scores. All numbers now. I mean really the best remix I've heard in the 2000's is Fabo's (Fabolous) and Drake's "Throw It In Bag (Remix)" which I personally found it was 10 times better than the regular song with The-Dream. I really think someone should just seriously sit down with Just Blaze for a couple of hours and just interview him cause he always has something interestng to say.

Flashback Post | John Legend's 'Again' 7:00:00 AM

I just realized that this whole time I have run this blog I haven't had one John Legend post. So here it goes family. This is one of my favorite songs from him off of his sophomore album Once Again, still in stores. I love the slow, calm environment he creates for the listener in the song, a great way to tell a story.

Wale's Attention Deficit Album Artwork 6:53:00 PM

As soon as I saw this I was like "I'M POSTING THIS." I have to say Wale seemed whack at first but he really is starting to impress me. I like his style and every new song I hear... I listen to more, haha. Anyway, enjoy. Oh yeah and thank me later.

So Ambitious - Jay-Z ft Pharrell 1:55:00 PM

So Ambitious - Jay-Z ft Pharrell

"Lets here it for New York, New York, New York" 2:54:00 AM

Personally, I think this is basically one of the best tracks on the album... not saying that I listened to the whole album but so far this is my favorite. I don't think I'll download the album leak and supposedly supposed to come sometime in the following weeks. Anyway's below is the link for the download... thank me later. UPDATE: Well apparently for some reason the links have all been shut down by Time Warner (finally), so I'll just post the YouTube video since I hate wasting this masterpiece of artwork I just made.

That Country Cool 10:37:00 AM

illRoots caught up with Donnis at Crack Distributors Radio to talk about his newly released, 10.Deep assisted 'Diary of an Atlanta Brave'. Additionally, they talk about working with Just Blaze and Bun B, favorite pudding choices and more.

Just a "Reminder" 3:20:00 PM

Personally, the verses are dope... it's just the weak production and hook by Timbaland that scares me. But, anyways click the link for the download. Thank Me Later. Props to 2DopeBoyz.

My Secret Lover (Diplo Remix) by Private. Private is from Copenhagen, Denmark. For more info... read on.

Private is the brainchild of international pop sophisticate Thomas Troelsen, a man with his fingers in a number of choice musical pies. As a producer ... (more) and writer he has worked with acts as varied as Junior Senior, Paradiso Girls, Stereo Total and the Raveonettes, whilst also creating hits for some of Japan's biggest pop acts. His Copenhagen studio Delta Lab is an audio / design fetishist's dream and artists such as Bloc Party have spent time in these sonically and aesthetically immaculate surroundings. For Private he is chief writer, lead vocalist and producer, the trio being completed by guitarist Asger Tarpgaard and vocalist/keyboardist Tanja Simonsen.

Green Latern's Interview with Freeway 9:26:00 PM

My man Freeway. I Love Free as a rapper because when he raps it doesn't seem like he is bragging for anything he is just (and only) sayin' the truth.

Donnis & Just Blaze in the Studio 9:03:00 PM

I told ya'll to watch out for Donnis! He's in the studio with Just Blaze!? I know this mixtape is going to be fire, and I know 10.Deep don't disappoint. Remember the mixtape drops August 20th. If you didn't he his track before check out the link:

Donnis - Gone (prod. Needlz)

"Going, Going, Gone" 4:12:00 AM

This song did have to grow on me more and more, but this guy (named "Donnis") does interest me. Keep a lookout for his upcoming mixtape with 10.Deep, Diary of an Atlanta Brave, which drops August 20th.

Fabolous – Everything, Everyday, Everywhere f. Keri Hilson & Ryan Leslie 1:08:00 PM

As soon as I saw Ryan Leslie make this beat with Fab & Keri in the studio I knew it was going to be a tight song... if you want to see them making it, click HERE.

Legendary Music Producer No I.D. talks about Drake 12:43:00 AM

"It's like growing a tree... if you don't grow the roots low enough, the wind blows the tree over... but if you grow the roots to much, the tree don't grow high enough and then it dies or you just don't see it"

Philly Freeza kills the Track! 11:57:00 PM

I swear this is one of the sickest songs Freeway has done so far. The beat on this is nice and pretty genius sampling Eminiem's voice from his freestyle with Time Westwood. Plus, his Flow is just amazing in general. anyway, the link for it is below and enjoy.

Download/Listen ├ Freeway - Freeway’s Beard (prod. Phoe Notes)

I'm that Man on the Moon 2:05:00 AM

The first time I heard this song I was like whoa. Why? Becuase he was saying excatly the question I was asking myself because of this previous relationship I had with this girl (don't ask). The line that caught me in the song was:

They can't comprenhend / They even come close to understanding him / I guess if I was born they would love me more / Guess if I was simple in the mind / Everything would be fine / Maybe if I was jerk to girls / Instead of being nice and speakin kind words / But then maybe it would be ok to say then / I wasn't a good guy to begin with

I personally love when a rapper gets personal and talks about there life and troubles in a way with emotion, which means no Turn My Swag On (no shots at Soulja Boy though). Anyway Just watch the video and listen to the lyrics. Just Said.

Kanye West x Young Jeezy x KiD CuDi├ O2 Wireless Festival 1:08:00 AM

Why is it that most (basically all) London Concerts are better than the American Ones!? Well anyway, I spotted this at 2dopeboyz and thought these performances where hot from Kid Cudi, Kanye Yeezy, and Jeezy specifically, and also the fact that I love these songs. Below is more from KiD CuDi & Jeezy... just said.

Beats by Dr. Dre 11:12:00 AM

These head phones are like the Aplha-Mega of all headphones... to bad their like $300, yikes! Below is when I made then on ColorwarePC.com.
